Step 1: Open the hood.
Step 2: Locate the battery cover. The battery cover is located in the trunk on the passenger side of the vehicle. It is held in place by two plastic clips.
Step 3: Remove the two plastic clips. Use a flathead screwdriver to pry the clips out of the holes.
Step 4: Lift off the battery cover. The battery cover will come off easily once the clips are removed.
Step 5: Disconnect the battery. The battery is located under the battery cover. Disconnect the negative terminal first, followed by the positive terminal.
Step 6: Remove the battery. Once the battery is disconnected, you can remove it from the vehicle. Be careful not to drop the battery.
Step 7: Replace the battery. If you are replacing the battery, reverse the steps above to install the new battery.
Step 8: Reconnect the battery. Reconnect the negative terminal first, followed by the positive terminal.
Step 9: Replace the battery cover. Replace the battery cover and secure it with the plastic clips.
Step 10: Close the hood.
