How do you fit auxiliary drive belt to peugeot 206 1.6 xsi?

Tools required:

- 17 mm socket

- Ratchet

- 15mm socket

- Breaker bar

- Flathead screwdriver

Instructions:

1. Ensure the engine is cool.

2. Lift the bonnet and locate the auxiliary drive belt. It is the long belt that runs around the front of the engine, driving the alternator, power steering pump, and air conditioning compressor.

3. Find the tensioner pulley for the auxiliary drive belt. It is located near the bottom of the engine, on the left-hand side. The tensioner pulley has a smooth, round surface and is usually black or silver.

4. Use the 17mm socket and ratchet to loosen the tensioner pulley. Turn the tensioner pulley counterclockwise until the belt is slack.

5. Remove the auxiliary drive belt from the pulleys.

6. To install the new auxiliary drive belt, start by routing the belt around the alternator, power steering pump, and air conditioning compressor.

7. Once the belt is routed correctly, loop the belt around the tensioner pulley and pull it tight.

8. Use the 17mm socket and ratchet to tighten the tensioner pulley.

9. Check that the belt is correctly tensioned. The belt should be snug, but not too tight.

10. Start the engine and check for any unusual noises or vibrations. If there are any problems, stop the engine and re-check the belt tension.
