Engage the parking brake and make sure the vehicle is in Park (for automatic transmission) or neutral (for manual transmission). Turn off the engine and allow the vehicle to cool down if it has been running.
Step 2: Lift the hood of the vehicle.
Find the hood release lever inside the vehicle, typically near the driver's footwell. Pull the hood release lever to release the hood. Go to the front of the vehicle and lift the hood. Prop the hood open with the support rod.
Step 3: Locate the headlight assembly.
The headlight assembly is located on the front of the vehicle, behind the headlight lens. It is a black plastic housing that contains the light bulb.
Step 4: Remove the headlight bulb cover.
The headlight bulb cover is a small plastic piece that covers the back of the headlight assembly. It may be held in place by screws or clips. Use a screwdriver or a trim removal tool to remove the headlight bulb cover.
Step 5: Remove the old light bulb.
Once the headlight bulb cover is removed, you will be able to see the light bulb. It is held in place by a metal clip. Press the metal clip and turn the light bulb counterclockwise to remove it.
Step 6: Insert the new light bulb.
Insert the new light bulb into the headlight assembly. Make sure the light bulb is properly seated and the metal clip is engaged.
Step 7: Replace the headlight bulb cover.
Replace the headlight bulb cover and secure it with the screws or clips.
Step 8: Close the hood of the vehicle.
Lower the hood of the vehicle and close it. Make sure the hood is properly latched.
