Where is the fuel pump relay on a 2001 volkswagen cabriolet?

1. Open the trunk of the car.

2. Remove the carpet from the trunk.

3. Take off the left side panel behind the wheel well lining.

4. Locate the fuel pump relay. It is a small, black box with the word "Fuel" written on it.

5. Pull out the fuel pump relay. It is held in place by two plastic clips.

6. Disconnect the electrical connectors from the fuel pump relay.

7. Replace the fuel pump relay with a new one.

8. Reconnect the electrical connectors.

9. Replace the left side panel of the wheel well lining.

10. Replace the left side panel behind the wheel well lining.

11. Replace the carpet.

12. Close the trunk.
