Why might a 1996 Chevy Cavalier not start?

Fuel Pump Failure: The fuel pump is responsible for delivering fuel from the fuel tank to the engine. If the fuel pump fails, the engine will not receive any fuel and will not be able to start.

Clogged Fuel Filter: The fuel filter is responsible for removing dirt and debris from the fuel before it reaches the engine. If the fuel filter becomes clogged, it can restrict fuel flow to the engine and cause it to start poorly or not at all.

Faulty Ignition System: The ignition system is responsible for producing the spark that ignites the fuel mixture in the engine's cylinders. If any component of the ignition system, such as the spark plugs, spark plug wires, or distributor cap, fails, the engine will not be able to start.

Weak Battery: If the car battery is weak or dead, it will not be able to provide enough power to start the engine.

Bad Starter Motor: The starter motor is responsible for turning the engine over when you turn the key. If the starter motor fails, the engine will not be able to start.

Faulty Computer: The computer controls many of the engine's functions, including fuel injection and ignition timing. If the computer fails, the engine will not be able to start.
