Gather the necessary materials: You will need a new CR2032 3-volt coin battery.
Find the key release button: On most Dodge Caravan key fobs, there is a small button located on the back. Press this button to release the mechanical key from the fob.
Separate the key fob: Pull the mechanical key out of the fob to separate it into two parts.
Locate the battery compartment: Inside the key fob, you will find the battery compartment. It is usually a small compartment with a sliding or snap-on cover.
Open the battery compartment: Slide or snap open the cover to expose the battery.
Remove the old battery: Use your finger or a small tool to pry out the old battery from the compartment. Be careful not to drop it.
Insert the new battery: Place the new CR2032 battery into the compartment with the positive side facing up.
Close the battery compartment: Slide or snap the cover back into place to secure the new battery.
