Why would a car stall after the radiator relay is taken off?

A radiator relay is a crucial component in the cooling system of a car. Its primary function is to control the operation of the radiator fan by switching it on or off based on the engine's temperature. When the engine reaches a certain temperature, the radiator relay sends a signal to activate the fan, which draws cool air through the radiator to dissipate heat.

If the radiator relay is disconnected or taken off, the radiator fan will not receive the signal to turn on. As a result, the engine will continue to generate heat, but without the fan, the hot air cannot be effectively removed from the radiator. This leads to a buildup of excessive heat in the engine, causing it to overheat.

Overheating is a severe condition that can cause significant damage to the engine's components, including the cylinder head, pistons, and valves. In extreme cases, overheating can lead to engine failure or even a fire.

Therefore, it is crucial to ensure that the radiator relay is functioning properly and remains connected to maintain the optimal operating temperature of the engine and prevent overheating.
