If the passenger seat is empty and the front passenger seat belt is not fastened, neither the passenger seat belt warning indicator nor the passenger air bag "Off" indicator will illuminate. If a small passenger or child is sitting in the front seat and the seat belt is not fastened, you may not see the warning indicators because the small passenger/child weighs less than 44 lbs. In that case, fasten the front passenger seat belt and make sure the "Passenger Airbag Off" indicator is not illuminated
