1. Park your vehicle on a level surface, turn off the engine and allow it to cool down.

2. Elevate the vehicle slightly with ramps or jack stands. Chock the wheels to prevent the vehicle from moving.

3. Remove the wheel cover or hubcap if necessary to gain access to the lug nut.

4. Use a lug wrench to loosen the lug nuts, but do not remove them completely.

5. Lift up the vehicle until the tire is off the ground. Do not raise it too high to avoid straining the brake line or suspension components.

6. Remove the lug nuts and pull the wheel straight toward you to remove it.

7. The rear ABS wheel sensor is located behind the brake rotor, mounted on the steering knuckle.

8. Clean the area around the sensor using a brush or compressed air.

9. Gently pry the sensor away from the steering knuckle using a flat-head screwdriver or pry bar.

10. Disconnect the electrical connector by pressing on the release tab and pulling the connector straight out.

11. Compare the old sensor with the new one to make sure they are identical in terms of shape, size and connections.

12. Install the new ABS sensor in reverse order of removal. Make sure to snap the electrical connector securely in place.

13. Lower the vehicle, replace the wheel, and tighten the lug nuts.

14. Repeat the process on the other side of the vehicle if needed.
