1. Open the hood of your truck and locate the ignition coils. The ignition coils are black plastic cylinders located on top of the engine cylinder head.
2. Ignition coils are numbered from 1 to 8, starting from the front of the engine (passenger side) and working your way back to the rear (driver's side).
3. Number 7 ignition coil is located near the rear (driver side) of the engine, towards the front of the engine block.
If you are still having trouble finding the number 7 ignition coil, follow the spark plug wires from the number 7 spark plug to the ignition coil.
