1. Park the vehicle on a level surface, turn off the engine, and allow it to cool down.
2. Open the hood of your vehicle and locate the spark plug wires. They are connected to the top of the spark plugs and are usually black or gray in color.
3. Remove the spark plug wires by gently pulling them off of the spark plugs. Be careful not to damage the wires.
4. Use a spark plug wrench or a 5/8-inch socket to loosen the spark plugs. Turn the wrench or socket counterclockwise until the spark plug is loose.
5. Once the spark plug is loose, remove it by hand or use the spark plug wrench or socket.
6. Repeat steps 3 through 5 for the remaining spark plugs.
Here are some additional tips for removing spark plugs:
* Make sure the engine is cool before you begin. This will help prevent damage to the spark plugs and wires.
* Be careful not to drop the spark plugs into the engine. If a spark plug does fall into the engine, you will need to remove the spark plug wire from the distributor cap and use a magnet or a long needle-nose pliers to retrieve it.
* Be sure to replace the spark plugs with the correct type and size. You can find this information in your vehicle owner's manual or by consulting with a qualified mechanic.
