Who built model automobile?

The first model automobiles were built in the late 17th century by Ferdinand Verbiest, a Flemish Jesuit missionary in China. Verbiest's models were powered by steam and were used to demonstrate the principles of mechanics to the Chinese emperor.

In the 19th century, model automobiles became increasingly popular as toys and collectibles. By the early 20th century, there were a number of companies producing model automobiles, including Märklin, Dinky Toys, and Matchbox. Today, model automobiles are still produced by a variety of companies and are enjoyed by people of all ages.
