- Open the hood.
- Find the large tank with two hoses entering at opposite ends; this is the radiator.
Step 2: Locate the drain plug.
- Follow one of the large hoses towards the engine until you arrive at where hose connects on the intake or cylinder head.
- The radiator drain plug should be nearby to the radiator hose on the same side.
Radiator drain plugs can appear as a plastic valve or just resemble a standard bolt. Some also require an Allen or Torx socket wrench to use rather than a standard ratchet set and deep well socket to turn.
