1. Locate the hood release lever: It is usually located on the driver's side footwell, near the brake pedal.
2. Pull the hood release lever: This will release the hood latch.
3. Go to the front of the car and lift up on the hood: It will open slightly.
4. Locate the secondary hood latch: It is located on the underside of the hood, near the center.
5. Pull the secondary hood latch: This will release the second latch and allow the hood to be fully opened.
6. Prop the hood open: Use the hood prop rod to keep the hood open while you work on your vehicle.
