1. Open the hood of your vehicle.
2. Locate the engine block. It is the largest metal component in the engine compartment.
3. Look for the oil filter. It is a cylindrical-shaped object with a black cap.
4. The oil sending unit is located just above the oil filter. It is usually easy to identify as it is a small cylindrical part with a single electrical connector attached to it.
5. Once you have located the oil sending unit, you can access and remove it if necessary.
