1. Park your car in a safe location and turn off the engine. Allow the engine to cool down completely.
2. Open the hood of your car. Locate the temperature blower motor. It is usually located behind the glove compartment.
3. Disconnect the negative battery cable. This will prevent any electrical accidents while you are working.
4. Remove the glove compartment. There are usually a few screws that hold the glove compartment in place. Remove these screws and then lift up on the glove compartment to remove it.
5. Locate the temperature blower motor mounting bolts. There are usually four bolts that hold the temperature blower motor in place. Remove these bolts.
6. Disconnect the electrical connector from the temperature blower motor. There is a single electrical connector that connects the temperature blower motor to the wiring harness. Disconnect this connector.
7. Remove the temperature blower motor. Lift the temperature blower motor up and out of the vehicle.
8. Install the new temperature blower motor. Place the new temperature blower motor into the vehicle. Make sure that the mounting holes line up with the holes in the vehicle.
9. Install the mounting bolts. Tighten the mounting bolts to secure the temperature blower motor in place.
10. Connect the electrical connector. Connect the electrical connector to the temperature blower motor.
11. Reinstall the glove compartment. Replace the glove compartment and secure it with the screws that you removed earlier.
12. Reconnect the negative battery cable.
13. Start the engine and test the temperature blower motor. Make sure that the temperature blower motor is working properly.
