Gather the necessary materials:
- A new CR-2032 3V coin cell battery
- A small flat-head screwdriver or pry tool
Locate the key fob's battery compartment.
1. In some models, it may be located on the back of the key fob, secured by a small screw or clip.
2. In other models, the battery compartment may be integrated into the key fob housing, and you may need to use the screwdriver to pry open the housing carefully.
Remove the old battery.
- Once you have located the battery compartment, use the screwdriver to gently pry open the compartment and remove the old battery.
Insert the new battery.
- Make sure to position the new battery with the positive (+) side facing up.
Close the battery compartment.
- After inserting the new battery, securely close the battery compartment by pressing it shut or replacing the screw or clip that held it in place.
Test the keyless remote.
- Press the lock or unlock button on the key fob to ensure it is functioning properly.
