Instructions:
1. Disconnect the negative battery terminal.
2. Remove the old stereo by removing the screws that hold it in place. If your truck has a factory stereo, you may need to use a special tool to release it.
3. Disconnect the wiring from the old stereo: The wiring harness should have a few different connectors. Disconnect them all and set them aside.
4. Make connections for the new stereo. The wiring harness for the new stereo may not match the wiring harness for the truck, so you may need to use crimp connectors to connect them properly. Please refer to the wiring diagram that came with your new stereo for guidance on how to connect the wires.
5. Connect the new stereo to the dash kit (if applicable): If you are installing a new stereo that does not fit the original dash, you may need to connect it to a new dash kit. This will involve trimming the dash to fit the new stereo and securing it in place.
6. Test the stereo: Once everything is connected, turn on the stereo and test it to make sure it works properly.
7. Replace the negative battery terminal.
