1996 Honda Civic has no dash lights?

There are a couple reasons why your dash lights might not be working:

1) Blown fuse: The first thing you should check is the fuse that controls the dash lights. The fuse box is usually located under the steering wheel, and the fuse that controls the dash lights is usually labeled "dash" or "instrument panel". If the fuse is blown, replace it with a new fuse of the same amperage.

2) Faulty dimmer switch: The dimmer switch is used to control the brightness of the dash lights. If the dimmer switch is faulty, it may not be sending enough power to the dash lights to illuminate them. Try turning the dimmer switch all the way up and see if the dash lights come on. If they do, the dimmer switch is faulty and needs to be replaced.

3) Faulty wiring: If the fuse and the dimmer switch are both working properly, the problem may be with the wiring that connects the dimmer switch to the dash lights. Check the wiring for any loose connections or breaks, and repair any that you find.

4) Faulty dash light bulbs: If the wiring is all intact, the problem may be with the dash light bulbs themselves. Check the dash light bulbs to see if any of them are burned out. If any of the bulbs are burned out, replace them with new bulbs.

If you have checked all of these things and the dash lights still don't work, you may need to take your car to a qualified mechanic for further diagnosis.
