1. Disconnect the negative battery terminal.
2. Locate the thermostat housing on the front side of the engine. It is next to the upper radiator hose.
3. Remove the two bolts holding the thermostat housing in place. Be careful not to drop the thermostat into the engine block.
4. Remove the old thermostat and gasket from the housing.
5. Install the new thermostat and gasket, making sure that the thermostat is properly seated in the housing.
6. Replace the bolts and reconnect the negative battery terminal.
7. Refill the coolant reservoir.
3.5L Engine
1. Remove the air cleaner duct.
2. Locate the thermostat housing on the front side of the engine. It is next to the upper radiator hose.

4. Remove the old thermostat and gasket from the housing.
5. Install the new thermostat and gasket, making sure that the thermostat is properly seated in the housing.
6. Replace the bolts and replace the air cleaner duct.
7. Refill the coolant reservoir.
