1. Locate the keyless entry pad on your 2006 Toyota Avalon. It is usually found on the driver's side door handle.
2. Insert the emergency key into the slot on the back of the keyless entry pad.
3. Turn the emergency key clockwise to release the battery cover.
4. Remove the battery cover and set it aside.
5. Locate the battery in the keyless entry pad. It is usually a CR2016 or CR2025 coin cell battery.
6. Remove the old battery by gently prying it out of the battery compartment with your fingers or with the tip of a small screwdriver.
7. Insert the new battery into the battery compartment, making sure that the positive (+) side of the battery is facing up.
8. Replace the battery cover and turn the emergency key counterclockwise to lock it in place.
The battery in your 2006 Toyota Avalon keyless entry pad should now be replaced.
