- Push button starter switch
- 12-gauge wire
- Wire connectors
- Crimping tool
- Electrical tape
Instructions:
1. Disconnect the negative terminal of the battery.
2. Locate the ignition switch. It is usually located on the dashboard, near the steering wheel.
3. Remove the two screws that hold the ignition switch in place.
4. Disconnect the electrical connectors from the ignition switch.
5. Remove the ignition switch from the dashboard.
6. Connect the red wire from the push button starter switch to the red wire on the ignition switch.
7. Connect the black wire from the push button starter switch to the black wire on the ignition switch.
8. Connect the yellow wire from the push button starter switch to the yellow wire on the ignition switch.
9. Reinstall the ignition switch into the dashboard.
10. Reconnect the electrical connectors to the ignition switch.
11. Reinstall the two screws that hold the ignition switch in place.
12. Connect the positive terminal of the battery.
13. Test the push button starter switch by pressing it. The engine should start.
