1. Park your vehicle on a level surface. Turn off the engine and allow it to cool completely.
2. Locate the fuel filler door on your Murano. It is typically located on the rear passenger side of the vehicle.
3. Open the fuel filler door and remove the gas cap.
4. Look inside the fuel filler neck and you will see the fuel pump access cover. It is typically a circular or rectangular cover with a slot for a screwdriver.
5. Insert a flat-head screwdriver into the slot in the fuel pump access cover and pry it open.
6. Remove the fuel pump access cover and you will see the fuel pump module.
7. The fuel pump module is held in place by a plastic locking ring. Use a wrench to loosen the locking ring and remove it.
8. Lift the fuel pump module out of the fuel tank.
9. Disconnect the electrical connector from the fuel pump module.
10. Remove the fuel inlet and outlet hoses from the fuel pump module.
11. Inspect the fuel pump module for damage or debris. If the fuel pump module is damaged or dirty, replace it with a new one.
12. Reverse the steps above to reinstall the fuel pump module.
