Park the vehicle on a level surface.
Turn off the engine and allow it to cool down.
Open the hood of the vehicle.
Locate the transmission fluid dipstick. On the 1993 Toyota Camry, it is usually a red or orange dipstick with a yellow or black handle. The dipstick is typically located near the back of the engine compartment, on the driver's side.
Pull out the dipstick and wipe it clean using a lint-free cloth.
Reinsert the dipstick fully into the transmission fluid dipstick tube.
Pull the dipstick out again and inspect the fluid level. The fluid level should be between the "Full" and "Add" marks on the dipstick.
If the fluid level is low, add the recommended type of transmission fluid to bring the level back up to the "Full" mark.
Reinsert the dipstick fully and close the hood of the vehicle.
