How do you change the cabin air filter on a 2005 Toyota Solara?

• Phillips-head screwdriver

• New cabin air filter

Instructions

1. Prepare your vehicle for maintenance by parking it on level ground, turning off the engine, and allowing it to cool down.

2. Move to the front passenger seat of the vehicle and open the glove box.

3. Locate the two tabs that are behind the glove box and squeeze these to release the glove box from its housing.

4. Remove the glove box from its housing.

5. Locate the rectangular cover to the cabin air filter housing behind the glove box. This is located on the right-hand side of the housing.

6. Remove the two screws holding this cover in place using the Phillips-head screwdriver.

7. Remove the rectangular cover.

8. Take the old cabin air filter out of its housing.

9. Insert the new cabin air filter into its housing, making sure to insert it with the correct side facing upwards.

10. Replace the rectangular cover.

11. Replace the screws that hold the rectangular cover in place.

12. Replace the glove box by inserting it into its housing until you hear the tabs snap into place.
