1. A set of wrenches
2. A set of sockets
3. A screwdriver
4. A pry bar
5. A transmission jack
6. A drain pan
Instructions:
1. Disconnect the negative battery terminal.
2. Raise the vehicle and place it on jack stands.
3. Remove the front wheels.
4. Remove the skid plate under the engine.
5. Disconnect the transmission cooler lines.
6. Disconnect the shift linkage.
7. Disconnect the electrical connectors from the transmission.
8. Remove the starter.
9. Remove the transmission mount.
10. Lower the transmission jack under the transmission.
11. Remove the transmission bolts and nuts.
12. Carefully lower the transmission out of the vehicle.
Once the transmission is removed, you can inspect it for damage. If the transmission is damaged, you will need to replace it with a new one.
