1. Locate the fuel filter. The fuel filter on the 2002 Nissan Altima is located under the car, near the fuel tank.
2. Disconnect the fuel lines. There are two fuel lines that connect to the fuel filter. To disconnect them, use a fuel line disconnect tool or a pair of pliers.
