Checking the Oil Level
To check the oil level in your Honda Civic, follow these steps:
1. Park your car on level ground and turn off the engine.
2. Wait a few minutes to allow the oil to settle down.
3. Open the hood of your car.
4. Locate the oil dipstick. It is usually near the oil filler cap.
5. Pull out the dipstick and wipe it clean with a paper towel.
6. Reinsert the dipstick into the oil filler tube.
7. Pull out the dipstick again and check the oil level. The oil should be between the two marks on the dipstick.
Adding Oil
If the oil level is low, you can add oil to your Honda Civic by following these steps:
1. Purchase the correct type of oil for your Civic (see above).
2. Open the hood of your car.
3. Locate the oil filler cap.
4. Remove the oil filler cap.
5. Use a funnel to add oil to the engine.
6. Add oil slowly, checking the oil level frequently.
7. Once the oil level is between the two marks on the dipstick, replace the oil filler cap.
Note: It is important to use the correct type of oil for your Honda Civic. Using the wrong type of oil can damage your engine.
