The thermostat is located in the thermostat housing, which is attached to the engine block on the passenger side of the vehicle.
1. Open the hood of your vehicle.
2. Locate the thermostat housing. It is usually a round or oval-shaped housing located near the top of the engine block. It may be covered by a plastic cap or a metal plate.
3. If there is a cap or plate covering the thermostat housing, remove it.
4. You should see the thermostat inside the housing. It is a small round or cylindrical device with a spring-loaded valve inside.
5. To remove the thermostat, simply pull it out of the housing. Be careful not to lose the gasket that is between the thermostat and the housing.
