Remove ignition coil electrical connectors:
1. Lift the coil retention module to remove the coil (1) connector from the coil-on-plug ignition coil (2) .
2. Remove the remaining coil retention module bolts and discard the module.
Right Bank
Remove ignition coil electrical connectors:
1. Disconnect battery negative cable prior to servicing, if equipped with a dual-battery system.
2. Remove the engine air inlet duct (1) .
3. Remove the fuel injector wire protector.
4. Remove the air intake manifold.
5. Unfasten the coil (1) connector from the coil-on-plug ignition coil (2) .
Both Banks
Remove ignition coils:
1. Pull upwards to remove the coil (1) from spark plug (2) .
Install
To install, reverse removal procedures and tighten coil bolts to 24 lb-ft (32 Nm).
