The PCV (positive crankcase ventilation) valve on a 2000 Nissan Altima GXE is located on the rear side of the intake manifold. It is typically a small, black plastic or metal cylinder with a rubber hose connected to it. To locate it, follow these steps:
1. Open the hood of your Altima.
2. Locate the intake manifold. It is the large, black plastic or metal part on the top of the engine.
3. Look for a small, black plastic or metal cylinder with a rubber hose connected to it. This is the PCV valve.
