1. Locate the brake fluid reservoir. It is usually a clear plastic container with a black cap located in the engine compartment, near the master cylinder.
2. Remove the cap from the brake fluid reservoir.
3. Check the level of brake fluid in the reservoir. It should be between the "MIN" and "MAX" marks on the side of the reservoir.
4. If the brake fluid level is low, add enough brake fluid to bring it up to the "MAX" mark.
5. Use only DOT 3 or DOT 4 brake fluid. Do not use DOT 5 brake fluid, as it can damage the brake system.
6. Replace the cap on the brake fluid reservoir.
7. Test the brakes to make sure they are working properly.
