How do you change a rear license plate light on 1991 Toyota Corolla?

To change the rear license plate light on a 1991 Toyota Corolla, follow these steps:

1. Park the car in a safe location and turn off the engine. Engage the parking brake.

2. Open the trunk.

3. Locate the license plate light assembly. It is located in the center of the rear panel of the trunk.

4. Use a Phillips head screwdriver to loosen the two screws that secure the license plate light housing to the trunk. Carefully pry the assembly from the trunk.

5. Disconnect the electrical connector from the light socket.

6. Replace the light bulb. Gently twist the old bulb counterclockwise to remove it from the socket, and then insert the new bulb by twisting it clockwise until it is secure.

7. Reattach the electrical connector to the light socket.

8. Reinstall the license plate light assembly to the trunk. Secure it with the two screws that you removed earlier.

9. Close the trunk and test the light. Turn on the headlights and check that the license plate light is working properly.
