1. Turn off the ignition and disconnect the battery. This will prevent any electrical damage from occurring while you are working.
2. Remove the trim piece around the radio. This can be done by gently prying it up with a flat-head screwdriver or a panel removal tool.
3. Locate the four screws that hold the radio in place. They are located in the corners of the radio opening.
4. Remove the four screws and pull the radio out of the dash. Be careful not to damage the wires connected to the back of the radio.
5. Disconnect the wiring harness from the back of the radio. There may be several connectors, so make note of which one goes where so that you can reconnect them properly later.
6. If you are also removing the CD-changer, locate the two screws that hold it in place. They are located on either side of the CD-changer.
7. Remove the two screws and pull the CD-changer out of the dash. Again, be careful not to damage the wires connected to the back of the CD-changer.
8. Disconnect the wiring harness from the back of the CD-changer.
9. Reinstall the trim piece around the radio and reconnect the battery.
*Note:* If you are installing a new radio or CD-changer, you may need to purchase a special wiring harness that will allow you to connect the new equipment to the factory wiring.
