1. Locate the cabin air filter housing.
- It is located behind the glove box.
2. Remove the glove box.
- Open the glove box and squeeze the two sides inward to release it.
- Then pull the glove box down and out.
3. Locate the cabin air filter cover.
- It is a black plastic cover with a tab on one side.
4. Remove the cabin air filter cover.
- Use a flathead screwdriver to pry open the tab on the cover.
- Then pull the cover off.
5. Remove the old cabin air filter.
- It is located inside the housing.
- Simply pull it out.
6. Inspect the old cabin air filter.
- Check for dirt, dust, and debris.
- If the filter is clogged, it needs to be replaced.
7. Install the new cabin air filter.
- Place the new filter into the housing.
- Make sure that the filter is seated properly.
8. Replace the cabin air filter cover.
- Slide the cover back into place.
- Make sure that the tab snaps shut.
9. Replace the glove box.
- Slide the glove box back into place.
- Make sure that it is secure.
