- Remove auxiliary drive belt. See BELTS for details
- Drain cooling system.
- Remove the two bolts (circled in the image below) and one nut (on the tensioner) securing the water pump assembly.
- Remove water pump assembly together with the gasket from the cylinder block.
Rear
- Disconnect wiring harness from ignition coil and injector on left
Bank cylinder head cover.
- Remove ignition coil bolts and ignition coils.
- Remove injector bolts and injectors.
- Remove bolt securing ground cable (A) and remove bolt securing
Water hose bracket (B) on left cylinder head cover..
- Remove bolts and nuts securing water pump(circled in the image
below) and water bypass pipe.
- Position a drain pan under water pump.
- Remove water hose on water bypass pipe.
- Remove water hose on water pump and water bypass pipe.
