You will need a wrench and a new 12V battery.
1. Park your car in a safe location and turn off the engine.
2. Open the hood of your car.
3. Locate the battery. It is usually located in the engine bay near the front of the car.
4. Disconnect the negative cable. Use the wrench to loosen the nut on the negative cable and remove the cable from the battery.
5. Disconnect the positive cable. Use the wrench to loosen the nut on the positive cable and remove the cable from the battery.
6. Remove the old battery. Lift the battery out of the car. Be careful not to drop it.
7. Install the new battery. Place the new battery in the car. Make sure that the positive terminal of the battery is facing the positive terminal of the car.
8. Connect the positive cable. Use the wrench to tighten the nut on the positive cable.
9. Connect the negative cable. Use the wrench to tighten the nut on the negative cable.
10. Close the hood of your car.
11. Start your car to test the battery.
- If everything works properly, your car should start normally.
