The battery on 1-Series BMWs is located within the trunk of the vehicle, behind the rear seat. To access it, you will need to:
1. Open the trunk of your BMW.
2. Locate the black plastic cover in the rear of the trunk.
3. Lift up on the release lever and remove the plastic cover.
4. The battery will be located underneath the cover.
2nd Generation (F20, F21, F22, F23)
The battery on 2-Series BMWs is located in the engine bay, on the driver's side of the vehicle. To access it, you will need to:
1. Open the hood of your BMW.
2. Locate the battery in the engine bay, near the front of the vehicle.
3. The battery will be held in place by a metal bracket. Use a wrench to loosen the bolts holding the bracket in place.
4. Once the bracket is loose, you can lift the battery out of the engine bay.
3rd Generation (G20, G21, G22, G23)
The battery on 3-Series BMWs is located in the trunk of the vehicle, behind the rear seat. To access it, you will need to:
1. Open the trunk of your BMW.
2. Locate the black plastic cover in the rear of the trunk.
3. Lift up on the release lever and remove the plastic cover.
