How do cars shut off?

When you turn the key in your car's ignition, you are completing a circuit that allows electricity to flow from the battery to the starter motor. The starter motor then turns the engine over, which starts the combustion process. When you turn the key back to the "off" position, you break the circuit and the engine stops running.

In addition to the ignition switch, there are a few other ways to shut off a car. For example, you can press the "kill switch," which is usually located on the dashboard. The kill switch cuts off the power to the engine, causing it to stop running. You can also put the car in "park" and pull up on the emergency brake. This will prevent the car from rolling away, even if the engine is still running.

Finally, you can also shut off a car by simply letting it run out of gas. This is not recommended, as it can damage the engine. However, if you are in an emergency and you need to shut off the car, this is an option.
