Ensure your parking brake is set, park the vehicle in neutral (manual transmission), or park (automatic transmission), and switch off the engine allowing it to cool.
Open your vehicle's hood and prop it open.
Locate the power steering pump bracket using your owner’s manual, maintenance, and service guide or by following the power steering hose lines or belts until you find where they attach to the block.
Use a socket wrench and the appropriate-size socket to loosen and remove the power steering pump mounting bracket bolts securing the bracket to the engine block and steering gear unit. If the power steering pump is attached to this bracket, you may need to remove it before you can fully access the bracket and its mounting bolts.
Once you’ve removed all of the bolts, the power steering bracket should come off.
Install a new power steering pump bracket following these steps in reverse order if necessary or simply proceed to your next repair step.
