2. Check the heater core. The heater core is a small radiator that is located in the passenger compartment of the car. It is responsible for transferring heat from the engine coolant to the air that is blown into the car. To check the heater core, turn on the heater and feel the air coming out of the vents. If the air is not hot, the heater core may be clogged or damaged. To clean the heater core, you can flush it with a garden hose or use a commercial heater core cleaner. If the heater core is damaged, it will need to be replaced.
3. Check the blend door. The blend door is a device that controls the flow of air into the car. If the blend door is not working properly, it may not be allowing hot air to enter the passenger compartment. To check the blend door, turn on the heater and feel the air coming out of the vents. If the air is not hot, the blend door may need to be adjusted or replaced.
4. Check the coolant level. If the coolant level is low, the heater core will not be able to transfer heat effectively. To check the coolant level, open the radiator cap and look at the level of the coolant. If the coolant level is low, add more coolant until it reaches the full mark.
