Before you begin, disconnect the negative terminal of your car battery. This will help to prevent any electrical accidents.
Step 2: Locate the amplifier's power wires
The amplifier will have a red power wire and a black ground wire. The red wire must be connected to a switched power source, while the black wire must be connected to a ground point.
Step 3: Connect the power wires
Use a butt connector to connect the red power wire from the amplifier to the switched power source on your vehicle's fuse panel. The switched power source will be a fuse that is only turned on when the ignition is in the "on" position.
Connect the black ground wire from the amplifier to a metal ground point on the chassis of your vehicle.
Step 4: Connect the speaker wires
Connect the speaker wires from the amplifier to the speaker terminals on your car's speakers. Be sure to connect the positive (+) wires from the amplifier to the positive (+) terminals on the speakers, and the negative (-) wires from the amplifier to the negative (-) terminals on the speakers.
Step 5: Connect the RCA cables
Connect the RCA cables from the amplifier to the RCA outputs on your car's stereo. Be sure to connect the left (white) RCA cable to the left (white) RCA output on your stereo, and the right (red) RCA cable to the right (red) RCA output on your stereo.
Step 6: Test the amplifier
Turn on your car's stereo and the amplifier. If the amplifier is properly connected, you should hear sound coming from your speakers.
Step 7: Turn the amplifier off
When you turn off your car's stereo, the amplifier will automatically turn off. This will help prevent the amplifier from draining your car's battery.
Step 8: Reconnect the battery
Reconnect the negative terminal of your car battery. Your amplifier is now installed and ready to use.
