- Wrench set (metric)
- Jack and jack stands
- Transmission jack (optional, but highly recommended)

Instructions:
1. Prepare the vehicle:
- Park the vehicle on a level surface and apply the parking brake.
- Turn off the engine and allow it to cool down.
- Disconnect the negative terminal of the battery.
2. Drain the transmission fluid:
- Locate the transmission fluid drain plug, which is usually on the bottom of the transmission pan.
- Place a drain pan under the plug and loosen it using a wrench.
- Allow the transmission fluid to drain completely.
- Reinstall the drain plug after the fluid has drained.
3. Disconnect the transmission linkage:
- Locate the transmission linkage, which is a metal rod that connects the gearshift lever to the transmission.
- Use a wrench to loosen the bolts or nuts that hold the linkage in place.
- Disconnect the linkage from the transmission.
4. Remove the starter motor:
- Locate the starter motor, which is usually mounted on the side of the engine near the transmission.
- Disconnect the electrical connector from the starter motor.
- Remove the bolts that hold the starter motor in place.
- Remove the starter motor from the vehicle.
5. Remove the transmission mount:
- Locate the transmission mount, which is a rubber mount that supports the transmission.
- Use a wrench to loosen the bolts that hold the mount in place.
- Remove the transmission mount from the vehicle.
6. Jack up the vehicle:
- Use a jack to raise the vehicle off the ground.
- Place jack stands under the vehicle to support it.
7. Remove the transmission bolts:
- Locate the transmission bolts, which are usually located around the perimeter of the transmission bell housing.
- Use a wrench to loosen the transmission bolts.
- Remove the transmission bolts.
8. Lower the transmission:
- Use a transmission jack or a helper to support the transmission as it is lowered.
- Slowly lower the transmission until it is clear of the engine and the vehicle.
9. Remove the Transmission:
- Once the transmission is lowered, you can fully remove it from the vehicle.
10.Reassemble the vehicle:
- Once the transmission is removed, you can reinstall the transmission mount, starter motor, transmission linkage, and battery.
- Fill the transmission with new fluid.
- Reconnect the battery negative terminal.
- Lower the vehicle off the jack stands.
11. Test the transmission:
- Start the engine and allow it to run for a few minutes.
- Shift through the gears and make sure that the transmission is working properly.
