1. Park your vehicle and turn it off. Allow the engine to cool down if it has been running.
2. Open the glove box and press on the sides to release the stops. The glove box will drop down and you will be able to see the cabin air filter housing.
3. Remove the cabin air filter housing cover. There are two plastic tabs that hold the cover in place. Use a flat-head screwdriver to pry them up and remove the cover.
4. Remove the old cabin air filter. It is a rectangular, black filter located inside the housing.
5. Install the new cabin air filter. Make sure that the new filter is the same size and shape as the old filter. The filter should be installed with the arrows pointing towards the front of the vehicle.
6. Replace the cabin air filter housing cover and the glove box.
7. Close the glove box and start the engine. Turn on the heater or air conditioner and make sure that the air is flowing through the vents.
