1. Open the hood of your 2001 Dodge Neon.
2. Locate the headlight assembly on the front of your car.
3. Push down on the spring-loaded locking tabs and pull the headlight assembly out of the car.
4. Unplug the electrical connector from the headlight assembly.
5. Twist the old headlight bulb out of the assembly and replace it with a new one of the same size and wattage.
6. Plug the electrical connector back into the headlight assembly.
7. Push the headlight assembly back into the car and make sure that the spring-loaded locking tabs snap into place.
8. Close the hood.
Tips
* When replacing the headlight bulbs, be careful not to touch the glass part of the bulb with your fingers, as this can cause the bulb to prematurely fail.
* If the locking tabs on the headlight assembly are difficult to release, you can use a prybar or screwdriver to help you pry them loose.
