How do you relieve fuel pressure on a 1996 Hyundai Elantra wagon?

To relieve fuel pressure on a 1996 Hyundai Elantra wagon, follow these steps:

1. Park the vehicle in a well-ventilated area.

2. Turn off the engine and allow it to cool down.

3. Open the hood of the vehicle.

4. Locate the fuel pressure regulator (FPR). It is usually located on the fuel rail, near the engine.

5. Remove the vacuum hose from the FPR.

6. Place a rag or towel around the FPR to catch any leaking fuel.

7. Use a flat-head screwdriver to depress the valve on the FPR. This will release the fuel pressure.

8. Allow all of the fuel to drain out of the FPR.

9. Once all of the fuel has drained out, reattach the vacuum hose to the FPR.

10. Close the hood of the vehicle.
