2. Locate the spark plug wires. They are usually black and connect the ignition coil to the spark plugs.
3. Follow the spark plug wires to the spark plugs. They are usually located on the top of the engine, screwed into the cylinder head.
4. Use a spark plug wrench to remove the spark plugs from the engine. Be careful not to drop the spark plugs.
5. Inspect the spark plugs for wear or damage. Replace the spark plugs if they are damaged or worn.
6. Screw the new spark plugs into the engine, hand tightening them until they are snug.
7. Use a spark plug wrench to tighten the spark plugs until they are snug.
8. Reattach the spark plug wires to the spark plugs.
9. Close the hood of the car.
