Instructions
1.) Disconnect the negative battery cable.
2.) Remove the air cleaner housing.
3.) Remove the throttle body.
4.) Remove the upper intake manifold bolts.
5.) Carefully remove the upper intake manifold.
6.) Clean the mating surfaces of the upper and lower intake manifolds.
7.) Apply a thin coat of gasket sealant to the new upper intake gasket.
8.) Position the new upper intake gasket on the lower intake manifold.
9.) Carefully install the upper intake manifold.
10.) Reinstall the upper intake manifold bolts and tighten them to the specified torque.
11.) Reinstall the throttle body.
12.) Reinstall the air cleaner housing.
13.) Reconnect the negative battery cable.
*Note: The time it takes to change the upper intake gasket on a 1992 Chevy Astro Van with a 4.3 engine may vary depending on your skill level and the tools you have available. However, it can generally be done in about 2-3 hours.*
