2. Loosen the nut on the starter solenoid. The starter solenoid is a small, cylindrical device that is mounted on the starter motor. It has two terminals, one for the positive battery cable and one for the starter motor.
3. Remove the positive battery cable from the starter solenoid. Use a wrench to loosen the nut on the positive battery cable and then pull the cable off of the terminal.
4. Clean the positive battery cable and terminal. Use a wire brush to clean the positive battery cable and the terminal on the starter solenoid. This will remove any dirt, corrosion, or build-up that may prevent a good electrical connection.
5. Reconnect the positive battery cable to the starter solenoid. Tighten the nut on the positive battery cable until it is snug.
6. Start the car. The car should now start normally.
