1. Park the vehicle in a safe location and turn off the engine.
2. Allow the vehicle to cool down if necessary.
3. Locate the taillight lens; in most cases it is located in a housing with a spring clip or retaining nut (may require a screwdriver to release).
4. Remove the taillight lens.
5. Twist the old bulb counterclockwise to remove it.
6. Insert the new bulb into the socket and turn it clockwise until it's secure.
7. Reinstall the taillight lens.
8. Test the new light to ensure it is functioning correctly.
